Dorothy's Easter Link Up!

Dorothy would LOVE to see what everyone else is up to for Easter. Have you checked out the crafts here? With only a couple of days to go, whether your family are religious or not Easter is quite significant. It's the longest Bank Holiday Weekend of the year, unlike Christmas or New Year there are two days holiday and they always straddle a weekend to make a four day holiday. That's why your parents get so excited!

We have been busy making Easter cards this week but the biggest excitement was the arrival of our EASTER BUNNIES!
Poppy and Jasmine arrived on Tuesday. We have rescued them because their owner has arthritis and can no longer care for them properly. This was clear when they arrived. They had awful thick matts where their fur had got dirty and matted into lumps. One had faeces (poo) matted into huge lumps around her bottom. We have spent the past three days working flat out cleaning and sanitising their hutches, getting them checked at the vet and clipping nails, gently clipping off the matted bits and bathing them. They are so sweet, understandably quite nervous and pretty tolerant of having been messed about with so much. They are much happier though, and enjoying sunning themselves in their clean homes!

Never under-estimate the amount of care and attention animals need, all pets are quite time consuming and too many are abandoned or re-homed because owners realise they have take on more than they can cope with.

We are looking forward to many years of caring for our bunnies!

What are your Easter Plans? Have you been busy making Easter treats of crafts? Dorothy would love to share with her friends, so she has created an Easter link up. Add your Linky below, and the code for the badge is underneath.
